HyperVR Games is a virtual reality (VR) game publisher and development studio.

Our latest in-house game “Shave & Stuff” was awarded a “Best in Play” title by the Game Developers Conference 2023 and was released on Meta Quest, Pico, and Steam.

Due to the rapid business expansion, we are looking for a Technical Artist to join us.

What are you working on?
  • Genres: Casual, Action
  • Platforms: VR
For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • Creating a game-ready environment, prop, and character assets from sketch to block-out to finished models;

  • Preparing textures both in flat color and hand-painted styles;

  • Creating 2D and 3D UI assets;

  • Creating particle assets, from textures/flipbooks to models/billboards to particle system configuration;

  • Character creation from concept to rigged a game-ready model;

  • Also, you will be involved in the implementation planning of new ideas.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • 2+ years of professional experience in game development with at least 1 released title;

  • Experience with art production pipelines and workflows for game development;

  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard software and tools, such as Unity, Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter;

  • Experience and knowledge in the character creation pipeline;

  • Knowledge of low-poly and cartoon-stylized design;

  • Experience in traditional and digital artwork, 2D/3D design and UI/UX;

  • Experience with mobile gaming pipelines and efficient management of poly counts, texture memory, bone counts, render calls, and other technical considerations;

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges;

  • Passionate about casual VR games;

  • Advanced in English.

As a Plus:

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git;

  • Experience in VR game development process.
